Award for Corsham garden

Original Landscapes’ work building a garden for my clients in Corsham, Wiltshire in 2016 has been recognised with an award in the Association of Professional Landscapers Awards 2018. The project was to create a new garden around a contemporary artists studio in one corner of an already established garden. The garden is blessed with attractive Cotswold stone walls, and using spare stone on site the landscapers built a new raised water rill. The water flows out into a formal wildlife friendly pond and circulates back via a ground level rill to vanish underground below another Cotswold stone wall. Cotswold self-binding gravel and granite setts pick up the colours of the buildings creating a striking but unified scheme.

The new garden forms a link between the kitchen garden, the studio and the main garden. Although a very different style to the rest of the garden, the parts complement each other perfectly and create a wonderfully inspiring surround to the artists studio.
